The author originally began creating children’s stories when he was a child himself. On a camping trip with three young children, they asked him to tell them a story which he granted with utter delight. This incident paved the way to the birth of The Collection of Short Stories for Children and Young Adults.
The first five stories in this impressive collection were written for children with the help of other children. Easy-to-follow and attention-grabbing, kids he worked with suggested the characters, places, and other elements that added to the completion of these stories. The result? A series of compelling tales that children will revel. It is the author’s hope that a lot of sleepyheads will enjoy them.
The other six stories were written later. They are intended for young adults—although they can still be told to younger children—and are, for the most part, adaptations of his unpublished screenplays. These were written while he studied filmmaking in college.
